AT an early age my dad introduced me to the world of photography. It opened up a whole new world for me and at the age of 16 I decided to buy my first camera. I started to search for unique moments to capture. Moments that other people might not see or miss because everyone looks at things different ways.
The world is changing every day, cities are growing, landscapes are being transformed and nowadays anyone can take a great photo with their mobile phone camera. But do we actually realise what we are looking at? Are we aware of the beauty the world is showing us? Are we really living the moment?
When I walk around my hometown of Barcelona, I see hundreds of people photographing this beautiful city using a mobile phone. The average time people take to take a picture or a selfie, before they head to the next must-see place is about 10 seconds. They instantly post this picture on social media in the hope of receiving as many likes as possible. However , there is quite a high chance that they didn’t actually enjoy that particular moment, or they might have missed it completely.
It is rare that we look at those pictures again and I find that a shame. My goal is to capture all the beautiful things the world has to offer us and transform them into fine art. Art that gives you the opportunity to transport your favourite landscape or moment into your home and relive it whenever you want.
Be aware of the beauty that surrounds us!
